Intravenous (IV) therapy is treatment that delivers fluid, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients directly into the bloodstream. Since the fluid and nutrients are introduced directly into the bloodstream, they bypass the intestines resulting in better outcomes than oral supplementation. This is especially beneficial for people with malabsorption conditions such as IBS, Celiac Disease, Crohn's Disease, ulcerative colitis, and gastritis.

IV Fluids are administered by our staff Nurse Practictioner under the supervision of our Staff Medical Doctor, George Tsoutsias, MD.

IV therapy is most commonly used for:

Vitamin B12 Injections

An untreated vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to neurological problems, depression, osteroperosis, age-related macular degeneration or pernicious anemia, which occurs when your body doesn't have enough B12 to produce the amount of red blood cells it needs.  Vitamin B12 shots are the most common way to prevent or treat a deficiency. The injections are given intramuscularly, or into muscle.  These injections are very effective at raising blood levels of B12 and preventing or reversing a deficiency.

Vitamin B12 injections are also being connected to weight loss.  Proponents of vitamin B12 injections say the shots give you more energy and boost your metabolism, helping you shed unwanted pounds.

Vitamin B12 injections are administered by our staff Nurse Practictioner under the direction of our Clinic Director, Dr. George Tsoutsias, MD.  The injections are considered to be very safe. They have no major side effects.  In very rare cases, some people can experience side effects caused by allergic reactions or sensitivity.
