Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints). According to Consumer Reports magazine, 34,000 people ranked deep tissue massage more effective in relieving osteoarthritis pain than prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is the most common and best-known type of massage. If it's your first time or you don't get massages very often, Swedish massage is the perfect massage for you! A Swedish massage can be slow and gentle, or vigorous and bracing, depending on the therapist's personal style and what you the client wants to achieve. Most people get a 60-minute Swedish massage, but 75 to 90-minutes gives the therapist more time to work the muscle tissue and achieve results.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a therapy technique used by massage therapists that focuses on the pain that comes from the myofascial tissues. These are the tough membranes that wrap around, connect and support your muscles. The pain that comes from myofascial tissue is different than regular pain because it originates from trigger points. Trigger points not only cause pain, they also restrict muscle and joint movements. Due to the intensity of this massage, we strongly suggest a recommendation by a physician or therapist prior to receiving this service.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage is a specialty massage where the therapist uses smooth, heated stones as an extension of their own hands, or by placing them on the body. The heat can be both deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscles so the therapist can work thoroughly on the muscles and tissues that need the most work.
